Hi, I’m Netty

Hi and welcome!

I’m Netty, your local driving instructor, and I’m genuinely delighted to have you visit my little online space.

Life, much like learning to drive, has its twists and turns.  And I‘ve been guiding folks along this path for a while now – since 2009 in fact. I started as a driving instructor in 2009 in Victoria before moving to the Morayfield area in 2012. I worked with another driving school for about 10 years and started Netty’s Driving School in 2021.

I pride myself on being a patient, caring, fun, yet knowledgeable driving instructor – especially for those who need a bit of extra support behind the wheel. Whether it’s special needs or simply nervousness, we face it together. I have 3 children, two of whom have ADHD and one who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and many of my students have some kind of disability so I am fully used to working with people who are differently abled or have unique challenges to overcome.

I believe everyone moves at their own pace, and there’s no hurry when it comes to understanding the roads. It’s more than just knowing the rules; it’s about building confidence, finding comfort, and recognising that the journey ahead is full of possibilities. Together, we’ll take it one step at a time, whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your existing skills.

As well as being an expert at helping those who need advice or assistance with log book exemptions (I’m known in the industry as ‘The Queen of Exemptions’), I have a lot of experience with those who hold an International Licence and need to convert to a Queensland Drivers Licence, particularly those who are a Permanent Resident.

Now, let me tell you, I’m here for everyone. If English isn’t your first language or if you find yourself struggling a bit with it, worry not. There are many ways to communicate, and I always encourage lots of questions. I speak slowly and clearly, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable, safe and understood.

This isn’t just about driving; it’s about the journey and the joy of watching individuals overcome their fears and embrace the open road with a smile. Here on my blog, you’ll find information, resources, a lot of encouragement, and perhaps even a chuckle or two. So, fasten your seatbelt and let’s embark on this journey together.

So welcome to our little driving school community – where the road might have its curves, but the company is always supportive, accommodating and welcoming.

Safe driving!

In addition to driving lessons in Caboolture, Morayfield, Bribie Island and surrounds, I also cover Bellmere, Caboolture South, Upper Caboolture and Ningi. Many of my international students in outlying areas such as Kilcoy, meet me at the Hungry Jacks carpark in Morayfield.
